Live Racing Season Begins May 23rd

Belmont, New Hampshire — The Lodge at Belmont, the only greyhound park in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, announces its Live Racing Summer Schedule will begin on Friday, May 23, 2008, and will feature races every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m.  The Buffet will also reopen on May 23rd for the summer season, serving dinner every Friday and Saturday, 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Guests can dine at The Buffet and watch live greyhound racing from the indoor grandstand.

Poker, Blackjack, Craps and Roulette tournaments and live games are offered every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays from noon to 10:00 p.m. All tournaments and live games benefit local New Hampshire charities certified by the state. Special May Poker Tournaments:

• Bounty Tournament - Saturday, May 10th at 5:00 PM: $50 entry; $25/50 initial add-on. $10 for every player you eliminate!
• Partners Tournament - Saturday, May 17th at 5:00 PM: $100 entry per team; no re-buy.
• Memorial Day Weekend Special - Saturday, May 24th at 5:00 PM: $75 entry; no re-buy; 10,000 starting chips.
• Pot Limit Hold'em/Omaha Tournament - Saturday, May 31st at 5:00 PM: $75 entry; no re-buy

The property touts great new menu items available in Blues-ology Bar and Restaurant, including new sandwiches and personal pan pizzas, in addition to its signature barbeque and southern specialties. Blues-ology opens daily at 11 a.m.

The Lodge at Belmont offers simulcast thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing, as well as telephone wagering.
